PATOMORPHOLOGICAL DEPARTMENT conducts pathohistological and cytological investigations of different pathological conditions and localizations, using all morphological methods: histological, histochemical, cytological, immunofluorescent, immunohistochemical and electron-microscopic. Morphological diagnostics is performed with the use of modern equipment: electronic microscope (CarlZeiss), complex with the programmatic device AXIOSKOP (Carl Zeiss), fluorescent complex AXIOSKOP FL 40 with a videotest «Morphometry – 5» (Carl Zeiss), OLYMPUS complex with Cell Sens Standard and SISgetIT (OLYMPUS) programs.

The Pathomorphological Department with the electronic microscopy laboratory is equipped with the modern transmission electronic microscope Libra 120 Carl Zeiss and ultramicrotome Leica U70, that allows to conduct fundamental researches and diagnostics of all organs diseases at ultrastructural level. Electronic microscope of such level is a unique and only one in the Republic of Kazakhstan, on which numerous international contractual scientific works related to nano- and cellular technologies are performed.

Pathohistological investigations at a tissue level:

Studying the operating-biopsy material of different difficulty category;
Studying the puncture biopsy of kidneys, liver and lungs;
Studying the autopsy material of different difficulty category;
intraoperative diagnostics (express);
Histochemical investigation;
Immunofluorescent investigations;
Consultation of operating-biopsy material.

Cytological investigations at a cellular level:

Studying the gastric mucosa on HELICOBACTER PYLORI;
Studying the urogenital tract smear on the presence of pathogenic flora and sexually transmitted infections;
Exfoliative cytology stained on Romanowsky – Giemsa;
Oncocytological investigation on Romanowsky – Giemsa and Papanicolaou;
Studying the thyroid gland punctate (Papanicolaou stain);
Studying the mammary gland punctate (Papanicolaou stain);
Urgent cytology;
Consultation of microslides on Papanicolaou

Electron-microscopic investigation at ultrastructural level:

Light microscopy of semifine sections enclosed in epoxide resin;
Electronic microscopy of biopsy material;
Electronic microscopy of ultrafine sections;
Electronic microscopy of nanoparticles on a coated grid;

The Pathomorphological Department provides ritual services in a full scale: saving of dead bodies a cold store, embalming, cleaning of a dead body, lying ritual in a funeral hall, transportation of a dead body.
