On October 3–4, the National Scientific Medical Center successfully hosted the international scientific and practical forum CTO. Creativity. Chest Pain. (3C) Forum 2025, dedicated to current trends and clinical solutions in interventional cardiology.
During the forum, leading cardiologists from Kazakhstan and China exchanged experience and discussed new scientific research and innovative technologies related to chronic total occlusion (CTO) and chest pain syndrome.
The event was attended by distinguished specialists from Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Wuhan, and Guangzhou. Chinese colleagues expressed their deep gratitude to the National Scientific Medical Center for organizing such a high-level forum and for fostering professional collaboration.
Over the two days, interventional cardiologists performed a series of unique and complex cardiac procedures jointly with Chinese experts. A key feature of these operations was the use of the Chinese DragonFly device, allowing minimally invasive procedures without opening the chest — an effective option for patients with contraindications to open-heart surgery.
The forum program featured:
• presentations of the latest international achievements in interventional cardiology; • master classes on innovative technologies such as MitraClip, DEB, and Shockwave;
• discussions on advanced diagnostic and therapeutic approaches;
• six complex operations demonstrated as exemplary international clinical cases.
The forum became an important platform for sharing knowledge and experience, as well as for promoting medical innovation in Kazakhstan and across Central Asia.
