What opportunities does participation in a medical tourism roadshow provide?
— Participation in international events of this kind enables us to present the Center’s medical and scientific capabilities to an international audience, establish new professional contacts, and explore opportunities for cooperation with international partners.
Roadshows also help expand the geographic reach of medical tourism, attract international patients, raise the Center’s global profile, and strengthen its position in the international healthcare services market.
Which areas of expertise and capabilities of the National Scientific Medical Center were presented at the roadshow?
— During the event, we presented the Center’s key areas of activity, modern diagnostic and treatment methods, innovative cell technologies, and capabilities in high-technology medical care.
We also discussed opportunities to attract international patients, improve access to medical services, and implement joint projects with international partners.
In which areas is cell therapy currently used?
— At our clinic, cell technologies are used in the management of musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular conditions, diabetes mellitus, autoimmune diseases, chronic liver diseases, and other conditions in which tissue repair and the reduction of chronic inflammation are required.
Stem cells are discussed very often today. How would you explain what they are in simple terms?
— Stem cells are unique cells capable of dividing repeatedly and developing into different types of specialized cells.
Because of these properties, they participate in the body’s natural tissue-repair processes. Modern medicine uses this potential in cases where the body’s own regenerative capacity is insufficient.
How safe are these technologies?
— Safety is one of our highest priorities. Every cell-based product undergoes a multi-stage quality-control process.
This includes bacteriological testing, PCR diagnostics, microscopic examination, cytokine-profile analysis, and assessment of cell viability. All procedures are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
What practical experience has been accumulated to date?
— In recent years, our clinic has treated many patients with a range of medical conditions. Positive outcomes have been observed in several areas, including reduced pain, improved organ and tissue function, and a better quality of life.
Most importantly, the results are supported not only by clinical observations but also by laboratory findings.
You previously mentioned the treatment of international patients. Could you tell us more about this?
— Since the clinic began operating, more than 300 patients from the United States, China, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, India, Russia, and other countries have received treatment here.
This reflects the trust international patients place in our specialists and the high standard of medical care provided by the Center.
How do you assess the future of cell therapy?
— We believe that regenerative medicine will play an increasingly important role in healthcare.
Today, cell technologies not only help reduce the symptoms of disease but also support the repair of damaged tissues and activate the body’s natural regenerative mechanisms. For this reason, the development of this field remains one of the National Scientific Medical Center’s key priorities.
